Dr. Holland joined Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in May 2009 and teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate clinical research programs.  Within the undergraduate program she teaches Principles of Clinical Research, and within the graduate program she teaches Advanced Study Design and Analysis.  Dr. Holland also is as an advisor for MSCR research projects. 


Dr. Holland serves as the advisor for dual PharmD/MSCR students at Campbell.  She assists, advises, and guides students through their academic career; as well as helps them plan for their post-graduate future.


Dr. Holland is a clinical pharmacist by training and has practiced in geriatrics, internal medicine, and anticoagulation in the inpatient and ambulatory care settings.  She has been involved in research studies in the therapeutic areas of diabetes, anticoagulation, hyperlipidemia, infectious diseases, and geriatrics.  Other areas of interests include cardiovascular diseases, medication adherence, and transitional care. 


Dr. Holland’s commitment and service to Campbell beyond teaching and research includes many contributions through time and effort on numerous committees as well as professional organizations.  She serves as the chair of the Department of Clinical Research’s Curriculum Committee and oversees all changes to the curriculum in both the undergraduate and graduate program.  She also represents the department on the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Curriculum Council.  Other committees that Dr. Holland is actively involved with include: MSCR Admissions, Dual PharmD/MSCR Admissions, Assessment, and Interprofessional Education.  Dr. Holland serves as the faculty advisor and liaison for the Student College of Clinical Pharmacy (SCCP) which is the CPHS student organization for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.  She founded the SCCP organization in 2011.  She is also a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists. 


Dr. Holland completed a fellowship in Geriatric Clinical Pharmacy and Clinical Research at the Durham VA Medical Center in cooperation with Campbell.  She also worked as a clinical pharmacist at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, MD prior to joining Campbell.  While at Campbell, she has served as a clinical pharmacist for Harnett Health/Betsy Johnson Hospital’s Medication Management Program, and also started the Patient Safety and Clinical Pharmacy Services Collaborative at First Choice Community Health Centers.  Prior to her pharmacy career, she worked in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry in various roles.
