Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (CPHS) has been selected to participate in the Cardinal Health Pharmacy Scholarship Program in 2014. Through this program, Cardinal Health will distribute millions in funding to nine pharmacy schools throughout the country. CPHS was selected for its commitment to community pharmacy and advancing the independent pharmacy profession.
“We are honored that Cardinal Health has recognized our commitment to community pharmacy,” said Ron Maddox, PharmD, dean of CPHS. “Dedication to the community has been a core value of our program since the beginning, and it is something we have implemented in all of the health sciences programs throughout Campbell.”
The funds Campbell will receive through this initiative will be designated for scholarships for pharmacy students pursuing a career in independent pharmacy. Cardinal Health’s scholarship program has contributed over $4 million to pharmacy schools throughout the nation since its inception in 2011.
