Bachelor of Applied Sciences (BAS) - Criminal Justice Concentration
This program is designed to introduce students to the challenges and rewards of college level work and core skills for professional careers. The Applied Sciences concentration in Criminal Justice consists of courses which provide graduates with employment opportunities in law enforcement, government and/or correctional personnel positions.
The curriculum is designed to provide you with the knowledge you need to understand criminal law, ethics in government and public administration. You will acquire an understanding of the various components of the formal criminal justice process, endemic and emerging issues in criminal justice, and many of the incongruities in the justice system. Additionally, you will be taught how to critically assess some of the major controversial issues in policing, courts, corrections, and administration. This curriculum will lead you to reevaluate your views of justice, the criminal justice system, and society in general.
