Why Quality Matters…

In a distance education program, quality not quantity should be the focus.  Quality of the courses and programs offered not quantity of courses and programs.

But how do you assess quality without infringing on academic freedom?  Distance Education has begun a strategic enhancement initiative to address quality.

As a department, Distance Education has created a rubric within Blackboard to evaluate all blended and online courses at Campbell University.  This rubric was created to more effectively align blended and online courses at Campbell University with quality standards based on learnings from several nationally recognized programs including Quality Matters, Bb Exemplary Courses, and A Quality Scorecard for the Administration of Online Distance Education Programs.

DECIDE Quality Certification Rubric for Campbell University.
